The Mszczonow project, in addition to the structural design and tunnel, includes delivery and installation of seven large-format windows. They are inclined, which required development of a new installation technology.
To keep the windows in place until the gasket polymerized, we made a system of locks and clamps. This allowed installation to be carried out in a continuous process. Due to their dimensions, the panels were cast and imported from China.
The windows look out onto the pool from the lobby and from rooms used as hotel rooms. This gives an extraordinary view of the whole pool. The inclination of the acrylic also adds visual appeal.
After the acrylic installation was complete, opening windows with glass of appropriate fire resistance were installed on the dry side.
