The underwater window was replaced because it was damaged during periodic renovation of the pool waterproofing. The previous window had been fixed using the old acrylic-steel technology.
It was necessary to demolish the previous window, prepare new bonding surfaces and install a new one.
The technology of fixing acrylic to steel dates from the 1980s, is labor-intensive and does not guarantee as long a service life as acrylic-reinforced concrete technology.
