Live Seafood Tank

Project description

A popular element in restaurants is a tank for live crustaceans intended for consumption. Keeping them alive for a long time requires low water temperature.

When such a tank is made from glass, vapor accommodation occurs and the tank begins to fog and drip water. Acrylic has high thermal insulation, and in this technology it is also easy to make a wall with an air gap. As a result, the tank remains fully transparent and does not transfer moisture.

In this particular tank, we used two panels 15 mm thick. We also made a lid opened on actuators.
